Still Life
I seek to balance traditional elements of still life paintings with vibrant colour and strong composition to create beautiful contemporary still life paintings. There are many influences which include the Scottish Colourists, 17th Century Spanish Painting and the Post Impressionists including many British contemporary artists.
For me it’s important to paint from life and the enjoyment in the painting is within the observation and trying to capture all that I see.
